Il sindaco di Venezia, Luigi Brugnaro, ha firmato oggi un’ordinanza con "misure urgenti per garantire l’incolumità pubblica, la sicurezza e la vivibilità nella città storica di Venezia in occasione della festività del 2 giugno 2018”. Nello specifico, si autorizza il Comando di Polizia Locale a porre in essere, modulandole secondo le effettive necessità e con il monitoraggio continuo dalle telecamere della Centrale operativa, una serie di misure per le giornate di venerdì 1, sabato 2 e domenica 3 giugno 2018 nelle quali è prevista un’affluenza straordinaria di visitatori nella città storica di Venezia.

In quelle giornate potrà essere deviato l’accesso pedonale sulla direttrice Piazzale Roma, Piazzale della Stazione di Santa Lucia, Strada Nuova, consentendone l’accesso ai soli residenti e frequentatori abituali della città (muniti di carta Venezia Unica) e, compatibilmente con gli affollamenti in essere, ai visitatori diretti nel sestiere di Cannaregio e nella porzione del sestiere di Castello limitrofa a San Giovanni e Paolo.

I flussi turistici che hanno come direzione Rialto o San Marco saranno fatti proseguire su percorsi alternativi.

Per quanto riguarda i lancioni gran turismo provenienti dai Comuni di Cavallino – Treporti, Jesolo, Musile di Piave e Quarto d’Altino avranno il divieto di sbarco negli abituali approdi di Riva degli Schiavoni (fronte la caserma Cornoldi) e dovranno indirizzarsi verso gli appositamente allestiti alle Fondamente Nuove.

Inoltre, il Ponte della Libertà potrà essere limitato alla circolazione dei soli veicoli di chi è abbonato o ha prenotazione del posto presso le autorimesse di Piazzale Roma e Tronchetto, ai taxi, ai veicoli dei noleggiatori nonché agli autobus di linea e non di linea oltre ovviamente ai veicoli delle Forze di Polizia, del Soccorso pubblico e dei servizi pubblici per evitare congestioni in Piazzale Roma.

“In vista di un weekend delicato per la Città, e a seguito della sperimentazione già avvenuta dal 28 aprile al 1° maggio – commenta il sindaco Brugnaro - ho voluto firmare un’ordinanza che ribadisce la decisione di istituire delle giornate da "bollino nero" per Venezia, con lo scopo di gestire il traffico sia pedonale che acqueo e smistare i flussi delle persone. Il nostro obiettivo è informare quanti vogliono venire a visitare la Città che nei prossimi giorni potrebbe esserci un’affluenza straordinaria di persone tale da renderne difficoltosa la visita. Sappiano tutti i turisti che, se vengono rispettando la città, sono i benvenuti. Al tempo stesso, però, abbiamo il compito di salvaguardare Venezia ed è per questo che, come stabilito di comune accordo durante l’ultima riunione del Comitato Provinciale per l'Ordine e la Sicurezza Pubblica con il viceprefetto vicario, i rappresentanti delle Forze dell'Ordine e della Capitaneria di Porto, unitamente al Provveditore Interregionale per le Opere Pubbliche, sono state identificate 55 giornate “speciali”, da qui ad inizio settembre, contraddistinte con tre bollini, di differente colore a seconda degli interventi previsti, sulla base dell'analisi storica delle presenze in città. Di queste ne abbiamo già stimate 13 da bollino nero, che ci permetteranno, unitamente a quelle da bollino rosso e giallo, di proseguire nel valutare la bontà di un provvedimento per la gestione dei flussi turistici. Un impegno che ci siamo presi con Unesco ma, soprattutto, con i tanti residenti di Venezia”.

Il Comune di Venezia, in base alle notizie che saranno fornite dalla Polizia Locale, aggiornerà costantemente gli utenti in merito alle possibili deviazioni di percorso, e ogni altra misura resasi necessaria, attraverso i propri profili Facebook e Twitter e i siti istituzionali.

From 1st to 3rd of June 2018 “highest level of alert” days in Venice. Measures for the management of tourist flows will be in force

(courtesy translation) - Today the mayor of Venice, Luigi Brugnaro, has signed an ordinance with "urgent measures to guarantee public safety, security and livability in the historic city of Venice on the occasion of the holiday of June 2, 2018."Specifically, the the Local Police Command is authorized to put in place a series of measures for Friday 1st , Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd of June 2018, days in which an  extraordinary flow of visitors is expected in the historic city of Venice. The set up measures will be modulated according to actual needs and with continuous monitoring by the cameras of the Operations Centre.
In those days, pedestrian access can be diverted to Piazzale Roma, Piazzale of Santa Lucia railway Station, Strada Nuova, allowing access only to residents and regular visitors of the city (possessing Venezia Unica card) and, compatibly with the crowds in place, to visitors heading to the Cannaregio district and to the portion of the Castello district adjacent to San Giovanni e Paolo.

The tourist flows heading to Rialto or San Marco will be directed on alternative routes.
The “gran turismo” boats coming from the Municipalities of Cavallino - Treporti, Jesolo, Musile di Piave and Quarto d'Altino will be prohibited to disembark in the usual docks of Riva degli Schiavoni (in front of the Cornoldi barracks) and will have to direct to Fondamente Nuove in specifically set up moorings.
In addition, the Ponte della Libertà may be limited only to the circulation of vehicles of those holding subscription to car parks and garages in Piazzale Roma and Tronchetto, of taxis, of car’s renters, as well as scheduled and non-scheduled buses. The circulation will be admitted to vehicles of the Police, Public Safety Assistance and public services to avoid congestion in Piazzale Roma.
 
"In view of a delicate weekend for the City, and following the experimentation that took place from April 28 to May 1 - commented the mayor of Venice Luigi Brugnaro - I wanted to sign an ordinance that reiterates the decision to set up "highest level of alert" days (black) for Venice, with the aim of managing both pedestrian and water traffic and sorting people's flows. Our goal is to inform those who want to come and visit the City that in the coming days there could be such an extraordinary flow of people to make it difficult to visit the city. All tourists should know that, if they are respecting the city, they are welcome. At the same time, however, we have the task of safeguarding Venice. This is why, as agreed during the last meeting of the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Public Security, with the Deputy Vice-Prefect, the representatives of the Police and of the Harbor Office, together with the Interregional Authority for Public Works, 55 "special" days were identified, from now to the beginning of September. Three levels of alert have been identified using three different colors according to the planned actions, on the basis of the historical analysis of visitors’ presence in the city. We have already estimated 13 “highest alert” days (black) which will allow us to continue to assess the goodness of a provision for the management of tourist flows, together with those identified as the “red” and “yellow” days. A commitment that we have taken with UNESCO but, above all, with the many residents of Venice ".
 
Based on the news that will be provided by the Local Police, the City of Venice will constantly update city users on possible routes’ deviations, and any other measure that have become necessary, through their Facebook and Twitter profiles and institutional websites.

The information agencies are kindly asked to give the maximum dissemination to the ordinance signed today by the Mayor and to the attached summer calendar in order to allow those wishing to visit Venice to be aware of the provision.
